Yesterday marked the beginning of summer for me (summer meaning bliss, happiness etc.).
Besides the fact that it was beautiful I spent it with really great people - my family and our friends Ed and Susan. We first had a delicious brunch (in which i ate everything in site(buffet)) and then we went to their house. They have the most gorgeous house complete with a cute little balcony- which i decided i need for my room. Its enormous and old and where susan grew up. They drove all over their property, and we rode in the back of the pickup truck and had a great time. Susan is a nurse and an amazing and caring person. I loved talking with her. And it is cute to see how much they love each other. After they showed me around I wished I had my camera so i could take pictures and use them to model out my own house in the future. They had like these hanging candles surrounded in glass over the dining room table like little bubbles. And they had beautiful paintings (susan's daughter is an artist)and family pictures everywhere. And the whole place smelled like yummy flowers(from candles they were lighting). It was so homey and comfortable and I wish i could live there! Later we discussed how we would go away to Italy with them the summer after my senior year! and Susan explained the beautiful villa she had in mind. I want Susan to be my aunt so we can do each other's hair and i tell her secrets :)
Later on, we went to dinner at village pizza in rhinebeck-where first they burned our pizza and seated next to the kitchen and bathrooms! But the night turned around when we met an adorable sheepdog on our way to the car. We talked with the owner for awhile and he's had many dogs in the past and i enjoyed hearing stories about all his dogs. The sheepdog was 10 years old and sooo big and sweet. it leaned all over my little sister and was kissing me. so i just sat on the ground and pet it and talked to it :) and i discovered it has one brown eye and one blue eye. my dad thought that was really cool. This experience made me so excited for Animal Farm(if the people EVER get back to me).
