"Paint Me A Fighter" (original poem by me) :D

I know this life is a difficult journey
nothing ever goes as planned
not everyone knows how to cope

I know this illness can be one’s greatest struggle
wishing wanting waiting is worse
time rushes by and slips from our grip constantly

I know this some things will never change
but love always prevails

I think we should seek our passion despite our distractions
we should find a method of coping
and look forward to anything and everything

I think we need not be bitter
we could shed light in the dark spots of our life
it’s our responsibility alone to create happiness for ourselves
we are our own worst enemies

It is crucial to be happy.

We need a reason to live
to be honest with ourselves
to sometimes to lie to ourselves

We need to have no regrets
to love as hard as we can
to love and to be loved

We need to make our mark on the world despite the pains of participating at all.

I know that it hurts sometimes
that we must carry on, for it is a necessity

I know the world is a cruel and unforgiving place, but don’t ever lose faith in it
life is only what you make it to be

I know there is good in the world although it’s a limited amount

We need to give ourselves relief
to nourish and nurse our souls back to health
to build ourselves up again with newfound strength

We owe it to ourselves to live like it’s our last day, to not feel sorry for ourselves;
We owe it to ourselves to make something of our lives despite our misfortunes, and to let go of our sorrows and regrets.

Paint Me Strong Paint Me Skeptical Paint Me Optimistic
I am a fighter because I choose to be, and I’m winning because I fought.
